The founders of the BIR are pleased to announce that their work from Uganda in 2007 has received two nominations at the 29th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards -- the first for Outstanding Continuing Coverage of a News Story in a News Magazine and the second for the coveted Best Report in a News Magazine.
This follows wins of both the 2008 Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for International Television and first place for news magazine at the National Headliner Awards.

We are a non profit 501(c)(3) video news production company dedicated to offering affordable coverage of overlooked international news stories to American news providers - and hence the underserved American public.
The BIR strives to examine issues and places that often remain unreported because of the constraints of the modern US news market. Our model is to use new technology and streamlined production to efficiently yet thoroughly cover stories that otherwise would remain untold.
Our co-executive directors have a combined 28 years experience in network television news and have worked for ABC, CBS, CNN, PBS, Discovery, CBC and the New York Times. They have reported from over 25 countries worldwide.
Thank you for your interest.
